You've narrowed it down to two spoilers for your car, and now you're stuck on the wrong question. Everybody asks "which one's easier to install?" when the real answer is already decided for you the second you pick the style. The install method rides along with the design. A pedestal spoiler that lifts up off the decklid mounts one way. A flush lip spoiler that hugs the trunk mounts another. Once you know what look you want, the bolt-on-or-stick-on decision is mostly made.
So let's flip the order. Instead of picking an install method and hoping it fits your look, pick your look and understand what mounting comes with it.
Every DAR spoiler goes on one of two ways. Bolt-on, which we also call the "drill" method, uses hardware that runs through the decklid or trunk lid, so you're making holes to secure it. Stick-on, the "no-drill" method, uses automotive adhesive tape or panel bonding to hold the part to the surface, no holes required.
Neither one is better across the board. They're matched to the part. A tall post-mounted (pedestal) spoiler carries weight up on legs, and that use wants mechanical fasteners underneath it, so those are typically bolt-on. A low-profile lip spoiler or a flush-mount rear spoiler sits flat against the sheet metal with more contact area, so adhesive holds it cleanly, and many of those are no-drill on most trims. That last part matters: "most trims," not "all." We'll come back to why.
Think about the shape first, because the shape tells you the mounting.
A pedestal / post-mounted rear spoiler stands off the decklid on legs. That raised, classic muscle-car stance almost always means bolt-on. The legs give the hardware a clean place to seat, and drilling is what keeps a raised part planted over years of highway air and car washes.
A flush-mount rear spoiler is designed to sit right down on the trunk following the factory body lines, no gap underneath. Because it lands flat with lots of surface contact, many flush designs go on with adhesive. Some still use a couple of fasteners depending on the vehicle. Either way, the flush look is the one people reach for when they want it to read factory rather than added-on.
A lip spoiler is the low, subtle one that caps the trailing edge of the trunk or decklid. These are the most likely to be true no-drill jobs, since they're small, light, and hug an edge that adhesive grabs well.
A roof spoiler goes up top over the rear glass. Depending on the model, these can be adhesive, hardware, or both.
A lighted spoiler with an integrated LED brake light adds one wrinkle no other style has: a wire. However it mounts physically, you'll be routing and connecting a wire for the light, so plan for that step regardless of drill or no-drill.

The honest answer is that it depends on the trim, and that's not us hedging. Trunk lid contours, factory spoiler-delete panels, and pre-existing mounting points can differ between trims of the same car and year. A spoiler that's true no-drill on one trim might call for a fastener or a slightly different approach on another. And a note on the aftermarket reality, because we'd rather you hear it from us. DAR parts are fiberglass and ABS, manufactured in-house to follow the factory contours as closely as possible. That model-specific design is exactly what minimizes fitment fuss. But minor adjustments can still happen with fiberglass and ABS parts on any vehicle. Which leads to the one rule that applies no matter which mounting method you land on.
Whether you're drilling or sticking, dry-fit the spoiler first. Set it in place, check it against the body lines, confirm it sits where you expect on both ends, and only then commit. With bolt-on parts, that means marking your holes and checking twice before the drill ever touches paint. With stick-on parts, it means test-fitting before you peel the adhesive backing, because that tape grabs and it isn't meant to be repositioned casually. Surface prep matters too: adhesive wants a clean, dry panel to bond to.
Temperature is worth a thought if you're installing an adhesive part. Panel-bonding tape does its best work on a warm, clean surface, so a mild garage or a shaded spot on a summer afternoon beats a cold morning for a stick-on install. Give the bond time to set before you put the car back through a wash.
